I
have been using Penny as a personal and team coach for over 2 years -
we keep coming back for more because she is so good at what she does.
Her ability to strip through the layers and get people to open up and
see their true selves is quite astonishing - she's the most insightful
person I've ever met. She pushes people to places
they would normally not go in such a non confronting and caring way that
the transformation people see in themselves can be
remarkable. Penny ran a 2 day
development session with my new management team recently. The
level of openness and trust we built surpassed anything I have seen in
20 years in the investment banking industry. We came out of the
sessions as a much stronger and more cohesive team. Our
productivity and effectiveness has shown a noticeable lift in just a few
short weeks, accompanied by an improvement in confidence and reduction
in stress levels. Mike Stockley, Head of Infrastructure and Operations, Markets, ANZ Bank
I approached “Skilful Action” to design a Management exercise that
would build a more collaborative and team based approach among my direct
reports. The program that they came up with surpassed my expectations;
it transcended the mundane of day to day business issues and allowed my
direct reports to genuinely open their true selves to each other ...they
recognized that better outcomes can be achieved by working honestly as a
team ... Penny Fenner's strength is in her incisiveness and almost
osmotic appreciation of an intricate set of circumstances related to
human interaction.
Bill Hargitay, Managing Director, Signode, Asia Pacific. Dear Penny, As
I prepare to (finally!) retire, I wanted to send a note of appreciation
for the tremendous coaching and team building services that you have
provided to my division over the past years.
It’s interesting, and a compliment to your abilities, that you often get
the really “difficult” people: managers who are in denial about their
biggest behavioural problems, or who focus constantly on the “IQ” side
of development and fail to see the need for an improvement in “EQ”,
whether it be to improve leadership of a team, build better
relationships or manage upwards more effectively.
In every case, your one-on-one coaching has produced an awareness that
was not there before and a measurable improvement in behaviour and
performance. And in every case, the individual has enjoyed the
experience, emerging as a more rounded human being. I
think that last part is a real tribute to your skills: your ability to
identify, almost instinctively, what makes an individual tick and where
their problems lie is one thing. To then confront them with potentially
confidence-sapping evidence, work with them to solve the issue and
emerge at the end with a happier and more balanced human being is the
real wonder. Thank you so much for everything you have done. Please keep on doing your magic! Mike Grime, Managing Director, Operations, Technology and Shared Services, ANZ Bank

approaches mastery in their chosen field.
Gerry Glover, GM, Fujitsu Manufacturing, Melbourne. Penny
Fenner isn't your normal consultant. She delivers lasting change in
your workplace through rigorous compassionate communication that has
your people participating with a new aliveness. When Penny worked
in our units it was like throwing open the windows of the organization
to fresh air from an exotic place. Penny is not a suit delivering a
premixed formula; she works authentically with the staff. Barriers that
had been in place as long held traditions melted against the honesty and
openness that Penny created for everyone.
Sue Evans, & Bill Thomson, Senior Manager and Director, Austin Repatriation Hospital Penny, thanks for your wisdom and guidance. In such a short time you have shown me how to conquer a mountain and given me the confidence to move forward. Daryl Hardidge, Company Director

I live in the Bay area, California, where there are many outstanding
coaches and consultants, I work with Penny, primarily via telephone
because she is exceptionally skillful, insightful, and effective as well
as being truly compassionate. She has the capacity to read me
very accurately despite distance or visual cues. Working with her has
produced profound changes in my life and business.
Cynthia Bloom, President, Meru International Inc, USA. Penny

with vision, wisdom with caring, humor with grace. She has repeatedly

Stanley Arcieri, CEO, San Francisco I
did not think it possible to establish such a depth of connection via
the telephone. Penny is a master at conveying her presence. Her
intuition and remarkable insights reached out for me as she gently
guided my self-awareness to a more effective level. Lizzie Baines, NT, Australia Penny
has a wonderful way of working instinctively; knowing just what to say
and, more importantly, when to say it. Her words reach right into
your heart. Eitan Gilboa, Computer consultant, St Pierre en Faucigny, France Penny,
thank you personally for the 'out there' place your presentation
took me, and for contributing in no uncertain way to making the
conference a life changing experience for me. Jon Ossher, Life Coach, Australia I
started this journey with a simple question: How do I get to know
myself? I did not have the skills or tools – just a desire. Penny is a
truly professional coach and guide who is challenging, compassionate,
confronting and supportive. With her my intimate journey of
self-discovery has transformed me through humility, honesty and
openness. Paul Scroope, Senior Manager, Fujitsu Australia I
feel privileged to be able to participate in this work. It is a unique
experience into the enquiry of life. I treasure the extraordinary gift
you have to help me unravel my thoughts and feelings in a gentle caring
way. Your ability to see into the heart of my experience astounds me
every time. I am grateful to have met you and to experience your
teaching. The words “thank you” seem inadequate in comparison with the
insights you have made possible for me.
Anne Boland, Organisational Psychologist, Melbourne Penny
[has] a high level of skill in group and individual work. She shows an
alert and intuitive ability to get to the point and understand problems. Ian Cathie, Council Commissioner, Victoria
Your programs are challenging and thought provoking... Thank you for
accommodating our time requirements and for the sensitivity with which
you worked with our staff. Marg Atwood, Research and Training Manager, Melbourne
I really want to thank you. It’s not often that consultants become so
committed to a project which is so demanding mentally and in long hours.
Marie Scodella, National Training Manager, Tourism and Leisure Corporation, Inc. With
this work I find myself just being present. It’s like coming home …
this work leads to what meditation was meant to achieve in the first
place.
